Privacy Policy

Every Guilder helps you read your own bank statements and understand your spending. This policy explains exactly what we handle, where it lives, and how to remove it. It is written for the app as it works today and is updated whenever that changes.

Statements are read on your device

When you upload a PDF, CSV or photo of a statement, the file is parsed in your browser. The file itself is not uploaded while you are trying the app without an account, and the transactions you see on the preview screen never leave your device until you choose to save them.

What we store once you have an account

  • Account details: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
  • Transactions you confirm: date, description, merchant, amount, direction, category and your notes.
  • Your setup: financial accounts you name, categories, categorisation rules and monthly budgets.
  • Import records: file name, page count and opening and closing balances, used to detect duplicates.
  • Original bank-statement files are not stored by the statement import workflow. Receipt and invoice originals are stored privately with your entry only after you confirm saving it. You can download them from your transactions, and deleting an entry also removes its attached document.

Every row is bound to your user ID and protected by row level security in the database, so no other account can read your data.

AI categorisation

Paid AI categorisation is disabled. Categories come from built-in rules, rules you create, and your manual choices. OCR reads scanned statements on your device.

Processors

The app runs on Lovable Cloud, which provides hosting, the database, authentication and file storage, and does not send categorisation requests to the Lovable AI gateway. These providers process data on our instructions in order to run the service. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

We use essential browser storage only: your sign-in session, your acknowledgement of the data notice, and a temporary copy of a statement you are reviewing before you save it. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Retention and deletion

You can delete selected transactions from the transactions screen. For complete account or data deletion, contact support at the address below. A statement you were reviewing but never saved is cleared as soon as the browser tab is closed.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data from inside the app. Transactions can be exported to CSV from the transactions screen. If you would like help with a request, contact us at support@everyguilder.com.

Security

Connections are encrypted in transit, every table enforces row level security, statement files live in a private bucket, and sensitive operations run on the server rather than in the browser. No system is perfect, so please report anything that looks wrong to the address above.

Children

Every Guilder is not intended for use by anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the updated date at the top of the page changes and, where the change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
